Cherry Insect Pest Fact Sheets:
Plum Curculio is the major cherry pest shortly after bloom.
Cherry Fruit Fly is amajor pest in many ares but only an occasional pest in Southwest Michigan.
European Red Mite doesn't usually attack cherries
Green Fruitworms are a pest of early fruit development.
Black Cherry Aphids is the only aphid which attacks cherries.
Trunk Borers such as American plum borer, lesser peach tree borer and peach tree borer have become major cherry pests.
Obliquebanded Leafroller and other leafrollers are more of a nuisance at harvest when worms are eating the leaves.
