Michigan Fruit Pictures

Mark Longstroth

pawpaw flower blossoms (click for a larger photo)I first started this website as a way to post information to interested people and reduce the number of times I had to explain something on the phone.  It also allowed me to reach people who had questions to ask about fruit but did not even know I existed as a resource.   Believing that a picture is worth a thousand words, I tried to include pictures with the articles I posted.  My original camera took pictures at 800x600 pixels and we all worked with dialup lines where even small pictures took time to download.  As time went on I got access to faster internet connections and better cameras.  I posted more and larger pictures.  I would keep reminding myself that not everyone had fast internet connections so I tried to keep the pictures small in size to increase the download speed on slow connections.  I developed the trick of posting a small picture and linking it to a large detailed picture. I have collected many of the pictures I have here on this page.  These small pictures are all linked to a larger image.
