July 2018 - Open Now! Postdoctoral Position in Placental Biology
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Almudena Veiga-Lopez in the Department of Animal Science, Michigan State University. In the Veiga-Lopez laboratory we are particularly interested in how endocrine disrupting chemicals can reprogram the fate of the developing individual using a combination of animal, cellular and molecular approaches.
For this position, we are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate the molecular mechanisms by which exposure to emerging environmental chemicals affect placental function. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences (or related field) and a strong background in placental biology, cell culture and molecular biology techniques, including cloning and RNA sequencing. This individual will be expected to: demonstrate the capacity for critical scientific thinking and creativity, design and conduct experiments, perform sample and data analysis, assist with student training, and assist with the preparation of manuscripts for publication. The successful candidate will enjoy a collaborative atmosphere within the lab and the Reproductive & Developmental Science Program.
Interested candidates should send a cover letter describing current research interests, a CV, and names and contact information of three references, to Dr. Almudena Veiga-Lopez (email@example.com).
Are you an undergraduate student?
