AGRICULTURAL SECTOR PLANNING AND PROJECT APPRAISAL -- AGEC 306
I OBJECTIVES
The course aims to show the interfaces between the goals
and instruments in agricultural sector planning at a macro-level and agricultural
project appraisal as micro-level framework to select projects. The relationship
between economic theory on the one hand and planning and project appraisal
as decision making tools in the
other are emphasized so that students can appreciate
the link
between the principle and applied components
of economics. Conceptualization and analytical skills in economic
problem solving are highlighted.
