AGEN 309 ECONOMICS FOR AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERS

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Agan 309 is an introductory course for agricultural engineers whick is designed to give them an appreciation of how economic principles are applied to agriculture.

Elasticity of Supply and Demand                        3 hours
Market price determination                                3 hours

The demand for and supply of factors of production        3 hours
Pricing and output determination under different
market structures perfect and imperfect markets              6 hours
Money and prices                                                          3 hours
Wages and the return on capital                                      3 hours
Zimbabwe's agricultural sector                                        3 hours
Farm Resource management: mechanization as related
to lend, labor and capital                                                6 hours
