4-H STEAM Corps is an AmeriCorps*State program that places members in counties across the state to provide science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) programming to local youth.

Michigan State University Extension and Michigan 4-H are deploying AmeriCorps members into Michigan communities to implement 4-H STEAM Corps, thanks to $386,976 in grant funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service. 4-H STEAM Corps focuses on recruiting youth and volunteers to participate in hands-on, educational programs in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM). Programs are delivered in a 4-H SPIN (special interest) club model, and have a strong focus on family engagement. AmeriCorps members gain skills and experiences that connect them to their communities and provide them with opportunities for the future.
