To protect the health and safety of our students, staff, sponsors and community partners during the novel coronavirus pandemic, we have canceled the 2021 CANR pre-college summer programs, including the Multicultural Apprenticeship Program. We anticipate hosting the programs in 2022.

The CANR encourages faculty participation in the Multicultural Apprenticeship Program. If you are a CANR faculty member or chair, please take the time to personally invite faculty from your department to apply to mentor a student.

While the task of identifying MAP mentors is extremely challenging, being a mentor is extremely rewarding. MAP coordinators are seeking assistance in identifying research associates, postdocs, farm managers and graduate students who could also serve as potential mentors.

MAP provides $500 incentive grants to those faculty or graduate students to assist with costs associated with mentoring.
