Scholarships

Alpena County 4-H Council Travel Expense Voucher (up to $100)

Must be an Alpena County 4-H member, guardian or volunteer attending an educational 4-H event or activity.
Complete Travel Expense Voucher prior to attending event, and submit to Alpena MSU Extension office.
Give 3 to 5 minute presentation at Alpena County 4-H Council meeting about what you learned, made, your favorite part, etc.
Participant will be reimbursed up to $100 ($0.50 per mile) after they complete the application and give a presentation to 4-H Council.

Alpena County 4-H Council Educational Activity Scholarship ($50)

Must be an Alpena County 4-H member age nine to 19 years old.
Can be used for any educational 4-H event or activity such as Summer Camp, Exploration Days, clinics or other statewide events.
Complete scholarship application prior to attending event and submit to Alpena MSU Extension office.
Complete “what you learned” section in application after attending event and submit to Alpena MSU Extension office.
Give a three to five minute presentation at Alpena County 4-H Council meeting about what you learned, made, your favorite part, etc.
Member will be reimbursed $50 after they complete the application and give a presentation to 4-H Council.
Can only receive one Educational Activity/Event Scholarship per year (can not use with a Fun Day Scholarship).

Alpena County 4-H Council Fun Day Scholarship ($100) - Due March 1, 2020

Must be an Alpena County 4-H member age nine to 19 years old.
Can be used for any educational 4-H event or activity; such as Summer Camp, Exploration Days, workshops, etc.
Complete application and submit to interviewer at Fun Day on March 1, 2020.
Complete a three to five minute interview at Fun Day to discuss what you want to use your scholarship for and how it will help you.
Scholarship can go towards your attendance at an educational event or activity.

Alpena County 4-H Council Senior Scholarship (up to $500) - Due April 7, 2023

Must be an Alpena County 4-H member that is a graduating High School Senior.
Can be used for pursuing a higher education (college courses, trade school, beauty school, etc).
Complete application and submit to Alpena MSU Extension office by deadline.
Complete a formal interview at the Alpena MSU Extension office.
Scholarship winners will be announced at the Alpena High School Senior Awards Night.
