Meet the Hood family

Hood Farms Family Dairy is owned and operated Tim and Debbie Hood along with their family members Tammy, Ty, Charlie, Britney and Jennifer. For five generations the Hood family has farmed the same land. The farm dates back to the 1890s and transitioned into dairy production in the late 40s. Hood Farms now milks around 500 cows and farms over 900 acres of corn, silage and alfalfa.

This is the second Breakfast on the Farm event to be held at Hood Farms Family Dairy - the first event took place in 2015. Due to such a positive experience the first time around, the family has volunteered to host a second breakfast in 2018.

The Hood family is excited to share the story of their farm and the story of the Michigan dairy industry with Breakfast on the Farm visitors on August 25.
