Michigan communities face ongoing mental health and substance use challenges. In an effort to help support Michigan residents in this area, MSU Extension offers educational programs and facilitates critical partnerships with community groups.

Michigan State University Extension is developing programs and events for Michigan residents to engage in conversations and find community solutions for important mental health and substance use issues.

MSU Extension offers Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid training to increase knowledge and help-seeking, and to decrease stigma for behavioral health issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, suicide, drug use and alcohol use.

MSU Extension staff will also provide information about behavioral health issues at local community health fairs and other events.
