Subject: Message from the Dean's Office
Dear CANR Community:
This is a challenging time for everyone – our personal and professional lives are being disrupted on a daily, sometimes hourly basis.
With Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Stay Safe, Stay Home Executive Order for Michigan residents, we are working with University leadership to determine what this means for our mission areas. It is our expectation that every member of our community will adhere to all federal, state and university directives.
As more specific information becomes available regarding activities at MSU, we will need to act urgently, while remaining calm and purposeful.
We are in close communication with university leadership, state government and our stakeholders. We have mechanisms in place for the protection of our animals, plants, infrastructure and other key resources. We thank those who continue to help meet these essential needs.
More specific information from our unit leaders will be forthcoming, including:
- Undergraduate (including Institute of Agricultural Technology) students and graduate students will hear from Kelly Millenbah on issues related to teaching and learning.
- Faculty, academic specialists and post-docs will hear from Doug Buhler and George Smith on issues related to research.
- MSU Extension educators and staff will hear from Jeff Dwyer on issues related to MSU Extension programming.
- Faculty and support staff will hear from Suzanne Lang on issues related to human resources.
