Course Overview

The Pesticide Safety & Education Program has developed this self-paced course to help pesticide applicators earn Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) recertification credits or prepare for the Pesticide Applicator Certification Exam (Category 1A) for the specific sections covered in this course.

The course consists of four modules aligned with the Field Crops Pest Management Manual including: 

  • integrated pest management (Chapter 1)
  • field crop insects (Chapter 2)

Pesticide Applicator Recertification Credit

Upon completion of this course, certified pesticide applicators in Michigan can request four RUP credits in Private Core or category 1A.

Go to: https://d2l.msu.edu/. You will see the Michigan State University at the top of the page. Login with the email address and password you set during the registration process.

I received a “not authenticated” response when trying to login – what do I do?

A “not authenticated” message is typically an issue with a password not being entered correctly.
