Sustainable Christmas Tree Production
Course Overview
This course is designed to teach all aspects of sustainable Christmas tree production including: how to choose, assess, and prepare a planting site, how conifer seedings are produced in nurseries, and how to plant and care for Christmas trees through harvest. The course will emphasize sustainable practices that increase seedling survivability, reduce water consumption, and use integrated pest management to limit and effectively use pesticides when needed.
