The 1981 Michigan State University collegiate dairy cattle judging team members included: Nancy Blaauw, of Shelbyville; Sue Brecht, of Elwell; Bart Cook, of Ubly; Michele Gilna, of Corunna; Karen Green, of Elsie; Peter Juengel, of Grand Blanc; Kevin Smith, of Williamston; and Spencer Willman, of St. Louis, MI.

Results

  • Midwest National Dairy Cattle Congress in Waterloo, Iowa
    • Team: 1st in Guernseys and 2nd in Jerseys.
    • Individuals: Spencer Willman placed 7th Overall while Nancy Blaauw placed 3rd in Guernseys.

  • Eastern States in Springfield, Massachusetts 
    • Team: 2nd in Holsteins, 4th in Jerseys, and 7th Overall. 
    • Individuals: Sue Brecht placed 1st in Brown Swiss while Michele Gilna placed 1st in Holsteins. 

  •  All American Dairy Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
    • Team: 15th Overall

  • World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin
    • Team: 27th Overall
