Join a Pistol Team and Enjoy the Fun and Competition!

The MSU Demmer Center is host to four bulls-eye pistol teams that compete in the Central Michigan Rifle and Pistol League (CMRPL); the Capitol City Rifle Club, Shooting is Group Therapy, Michigan Operation Outdoors (MiOFO) and the MSU Shooting Sports Club team.

The CMRPL league consists of seven local teams whose members shoot weekly matches starting the first week of November and running through the end of March. Teams are mixed, men and women, and include junior and collegiate members.

A bulls-eye pistol match is shot indoors at a distance of 50 feet with a .22 caliber pistol using iron sights or a red dot. The shooter fires 90 shots total. This precision course of fire offers the shooter opportunity to shoot slow, timed, and rapid-fire events.

If you are interested in learning more about this precision sport or joining a team give us a call! All teams in the league are eager to increase membership. The MSU Shooting Sports Club encourages MSU Alumni or Staff/Faculty to join as an MSU Associate club member.
