The program is taught by qualified and experienced rifle coaches in order to offer individualized training and assistance. Our training follows the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualifications Program, which is designed to take shooters from beginning skill levels all the way up to achieving the nationally- recognized “Distinguished Expert” rating.
Shooters will learn several different shooting positions including prone, standing, and kneeling. Various rifle disciplines include Sporter 3-Position Smallbore (.22) Rifle, Precision 3-Position Smallbore (.22) Rifle, International Air Rifle, Sporter 3-Position Air Rifle, and Precision 3-Position Air Rifle.
This is a flexible 10 week course for juniors ages 8 to 20. New Jr. Shooters can sign up for the 9:30 am or 11:00 am session by calling or registering at the link above. For more information email demmer@msu.edu.
