    Summary

Usage

Use Audio Object when you’re adding a podcast or audio file and optionally a transcript that is produced and written by a Person or group that can be shown in multiple locations. This content features author, publication date, often times an image. (Examples: News release, feature story, article, information article.)

Fields

Title

Title is the headline text indicating the nature of the audio object below it. Titles in audio object content type should be written in sentence case and have action words and verbs that describe the audio object.

Summary

This further describes the content of the audio object. The summary will appear on the audio object page and on index pages.

Image

Optional but highly preferred, insert image that is the highest quality and with appropriate permissions

Image Description

Required when there is an image, describe the image for those using a screen reader (serves as alternate text)

Image Caption

Not required, should be different from the image description, related and relevant to the article.

Date Published

Required. The date the audio object is published.

Author Text

Only use if there is no author relationship. This will display in addition to the author relationship, be sure not to repeat the information that’s already listed in author. There can be more than one author.

File

Required. The audio file for the audio object.

Duration

Put the length of time the audio file plays.

Content

Required. The transcript for the audio object.

Relationships

Place-AudioObject

This is any place affiliated to the audio object. 

Publication-AudioObject

This is the publication issue with which the audio object is affiliated. 

Article-AudioObject

This is the article(s) with which the audio object is affiliated.

Organization-AudioObject

This is any Organization with which the audio object is affiliated. It is possible for an audio object to to be affiliated with more than one Organization.

DigitalDocument-AudioObject

This is the digital document with which the audio object is affiliated.

Series-AudioObject

This is any grouping of other audio objects with which the audio object is affiliated. It is possible for an audio object to to be affiliated with more than one Series.

Dataset-AudioObject

This is any topic or other grouping of information with which the audio object is affiliated. It is possible for an audio object to to be affiliated with more than one Dataset.

AudioObject-FeaturedPerson(child)

This is any person featured in the audio object. 

AudioObject-Author(Child)

This is the author or authors of the audio object. For people who are not in the system use the author text field to list additional authors.
