  • 4-H Entomology

    If rare beetles or other insects are of interest, Michigan 4-H has a program for youth to become involved in. Whether observing, photographing or collecting insects there is plenty to explore when it comes to entomology.

  • 4-H Exploration Days

    This MSU precollege program welcomes youth ages 11-19 to explore their future, try new things and experience college life! During this three-day event, youth will gain confidence and independence through hands-on learning and make friends for a lifetime.

  • 4-H Great Lakes & Natural Resources Camp

    Campers explore dunes, hike forest trails, wade through wetlands, fish, snorkel and sail on Lake Huron while educators and scientists teach them about the Great Lakes ecosystem.

  • 4-H Junior Citizen Planner

    Youth learn about making effective land-use decisions in their communities while addressing important subjects such as social studies, civics, geography, environmental science, land-use planning and land-use technology.

  • 4-H Plants, Soils & Gardening

    4-H youth explore the broad scope of plant sciences through educational opportunities about crops, vegetables, horticulture and more. Participants learn about topics include weeds, crops, fruits, vegetables, gardening, horticulture, and agronomy.

  • 4-H Renewable Energy Camp

    Youth ages 13-15 explore how Michigan’s abundant natural resources and growing agriculture industry are changing the face of energy. This five day exploration camp allows youth to explore ideas, research and careers in the field of energy.

  • 4-H Shooting Sports

    In the Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports program, members can learn safety and shooting techniques for shotgun, rifle, air gun, muzzle loading and archery. They also learn how to handle firearms responsibly for target practice and hunting.

  • 4-H State Shooting Sports Tournament

    This annual event provides Michigan 4-H shooting sports members with the opportunity to test their skills and earn recognition with other 4-H members from all over the state.

  • Michigan 4-H Youth Conservation Council

    The Michigan 4-H Youth Conservation Council offers leadership and confidence-building, acquisition of important life skills, a chance to explore solutions to environmental issues, and much more! M4HYCC is for children ages 13 to 19.

  • Outdoor Adventure Challenge

    This program uses the outdoors to lead youth in activities that teach how to plan, organize, and conduct their own activities outdoors. Participants learn canoeing, kayaking, backpacking, hiking, outdoor survival and safety skills and more.
