This is the 28th Annual Quiet Adventures Symposium (QAS), formerly known as the Quiet Water Symposium, organized by the Quiet Water Society (QWS). The previous two symposia (2021 and 2022) were virtual due to the covid epidemic, but now we are back, better than ever.
The symposium supports the QWS mission to promote non-motorized recreation, safety and environmental best practices. This one day event, March 4, includes 150 or more exhibitors and up to 33 speakers, various demonstration events, child play area, raffles and more. It is an exciting place to see old friends, make new ones and plan future adventures along Michigan’s water trails, bike trails, hiking trails, and more. Many of the local nonprofit groups will be present, to talk about environmental issues and opportunities in Michigan and elsewhere to contribute to the environment. Vendors from the region come with kayaks, canoes, lifejackets, paddles, camping supplies, snowshoes, and so much more. Guides bring their books and talk about places to go and how to do it. Incredible photography abounds. Fly fisherman show their skills. Boat builders may even tempt you to try your hand.
More information will be available soon with details on how to participate. Visit http://quietwatersociety.org Follow us on Facebook @QuietAdventuresSymposium
