2026 4-H and FFA State Horse Judging Contest

In the state horse judging contest, participants can demonstrate their equine evaluation and selection skills, as well as improve their communication and decision-making skills. This contest will include both individual and team competition for 4-H and FFA members.
There are opportunities for the top three senior horse judging teams to go on to compete at the National 4-H level.
The 2026 4-H/FFA Horse Judging Contest will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Farm Bureau Pavilion at Michigan State University.
Check-in will take place from 8-8:30 a.m. and the contest will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
COST:
This fee covers entry into both the 4-H and FFA divisions if the individual is competing in both. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Coaches and participants are responsible for reading and adhering to the rules: 2025 4-H/FFA Horse Judging Contest Rules and Class List
Each participant must be registered and paid through the Events Management system by clicking the "Register" button below.
In addition, coaches must also complete this form for each team they are entering:
This form must be filled out by TBA in order for contest organizers to properly prepare team scoring information for the contest.
