4-H Introduction to Archery

Interested in learning about archery? Want to try something new? Have you ever wanted to learn how to safely use a bow?

Join us on September 25th from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Bay City State Park DNR Archery Range for the FREE Saginaw 4-H Intro to Archery Event! 

The 4-H Archery Introduction event will give youth an opportunity to learn basic archery safety and techniques from a 4-H certified archery instructor.  Get your friends together and join us for this event! Perfect for beginners or youth with advanced archery skills who want to learn and practice! No experience necessary. 

All equipment will be provided.   Spend the morning learning archery and explore the beach while you are at the park when you are done!

The event is open to Saginaw County 4-H members ages 9-19 and a parent/guardian MUST attend with their youth.  Space is limited! 



  • Parent/Guardian MUST attend with youth.
  • Wear closed toed shoes
  • Hair must be pulled back
  • No jewelry or must be tucked in.
  • Arm guards must be worn (will be provided)
  • Bows and arrows will be provided. Outside equipment will not be allowed on the archery range.
  • Bring chairs. There is no seating at the archery range.
  • A Recreation Passport is required to enter the park.
