During the Are Your Laces Tied? 4-H Hiking SPIN Club, youth will learn how to safely prepare for and take a short hike, the benefits of spending time outdoors, and the importance of Leave No Trace principles while you are hiking. Michigan Department of Natural Resource staff will join weekly lessons and share tips on how to keep you safe on a hike. Members will receive a supply kit in the mail containing materials for activities and to support extended learning. Learning kits will include: starter first aid kit, emergency blanket, whistle, rain poncho, headlamp, journal, water bottle, and Leave No Trace cards.

Meetings will occur from 5:30-6:30 p.m. EST / 4:30-5:30 p.m. CT Tuesdays from April 27 until May 25. Space is limited to 32 participants.
