Building Capacity for Resilience in Challenging Times: Informative Webinar

August 6, 2020 12:00PM - 1:00PM

The ANS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee invites you to attend a webinar on Thursday, August 6 from Noon – 1 PM to learn about the ANS Spartan Resilience Project.   Lisa Laughman, LMSW, Lead Emotional Resilience Trainer in the MSU Health4U program, will introduce this upcoming project to our Animal Science Community.

Who Should attend?

This program has been developed to include the entire ANS community: students, current and retired faculty and staff, and interested alumni and stakeholders.

Why should I attend?

With the on-going pandemic of COVID19, the National reckoning with systemic racism, unprecedented economic challenges, a contentious election, and on-going leadership transitions in the institution layered on top of the typical problems of academic life, we expect this to be a year of extraordinary personal challenges.

What is the ANS Spartan Resilience Project?

The program is designed to teach core resilience skills to strengthen the emotional resilience and psychological flexibility of the individual participants. It will build a critical mass of ANS community members utilizing these skills to be better equipped to face daily challenges while helping one another.

How do I attend?

To join, download the (FREE!) Zoom app on your smart device or computer. All MSU students, staff and faculty will have access to MSU ZoomContact for webinar Zoom info.
