The Building Early Emotional Skills (BEES) curriculum consists of eight core content areas divided into 7 weekly lessons. Each core builds on the next. They include: 1. Parents Temperament and Stress 2. Child's Temperament and "Fit" Between Parent and Child 3. "Family Movies" and Managing Feelings 4. Being Reflective About My Child's Feelings and My Feelings 5. Emotion Coaching 6. Reducing Biting, Conflict and Frustrations 7. Handling Tantrums 8. Building a Solid Foundation for Tomorrow The curriculum is designed for parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers, ages birth to 3 years old. The curriculum emphasizes the parent-child relationship as the core context for development. Many of the activities are appropriate for children of varying ages. Childcare is not provided. Program provided due to a grant from the Cadillac Area Community Foundation. The money from this grant will support 2 parent education programs being held in Cadillac.
