Dry Bean and Sugarbeet Virtual Field Day

Michigan State University (MSU) AgBioResearch and Extension will host a virtual field day highlighting dry bean and sugarbeet research August 19 from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.

Subjects covered will include:

  • Organic dry bean production
  • Dry bean end use quality
  • Dry bean breeding
  • Dry bean variety development
  • Weed control
  • Sugarbeet root and foliar diseases
  • Sugarbeet cyst nematode
  • Nutrient management

The first half of the event will focus on dry beans, and the second half will focus on sugarbeets. Each presentation will last approximately 10 minutes, including time for Q&A.

This event will count for two restricted use pesticide (RUP) credits. Certified crop adviser (CCA) credits are pending approval.
