The 5th annual Honey Bee Veterinary Consortium conference will be held at Michigan State University on Aug. 26-28, 2022. Registrants will be able to attend in-person, watch the conference live via zoom, or access the content virtually on-demand for a period of two months. With 17 hours of lecture to choose from covering everything from the basics to more advanced topics, there is certain to be something for everyone! New this year is one hour of research talks highlighting current work being done in the field of honey bee veterinary medicine. There are also four hands-on labs covering hive inspections for both beginner and advanced, honey bee anatomy, and how to diagnose the honey bee bacterial diseases. As veterinarians are now tasked with the oversight of medically-important antimicrobials in honey bee colonies, this conference will provide knowledge needed to work with this novel species.
