What's in a Name? The Rules and Regulations Surrounding Labeling Foods

Description: You've heard the term "Novel Foods." Whether meat or otherwise.  Whether they are called cell-based, lab-created, lab-grown, cultured, plant-based, they are undoubtedly novel!  But it's not just the technology that is changing, it's laws and regulations surrounding these innovative foods. This session will provide an overview of  the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard, trending labeling and marketing claims on meat and various other food products, how to legally make and substantiate them, and the risk companies run by being too far outside the box.   Knowing the rules will help make sure you and your competitors are playing the same name game.
