Mindfulness for Better Living Online One Time Workshops 

Mindfulness can be defined as paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally. Research has shown that practicing mindfulness is effective in reducing stress-related symptoms such as worry, depression and physical tension, and may be helpful in managing chronic conditions.  Mindfulness for Better Living includes a suite of one-time workshops to help people learn ways to use mindfulness to manage everyday stress.

What is anger? 

How individuals handle their anger and stress affects the people around them. 
RELAX: Alternatives to Anger is a four-part educational series designed to help adults, parents and caregivers increase their knowledge about anger issues and put anger management and healthy relationship skills into practice. This lesson includes defining anger and learning to recognize your own anger triggers.

July 28, 8-9 am
Calming Down and De-Stressing 
How individuals handle their anger and stress affects the people around them. 
RELAX: Alternatives to Anger is a four-part educational series designed to help adults, parents and caregivers increase their knowledge about anger issues and put anger management and healthy relationship skills into practice. This lesson includes ways to calm down during everyday anger and stress situations.

August 4, 8-9 am
Six Principles of Problem Solving 
How individuals handle their anger and stress affects the people around them. 
RELAX: Alternatives to Anger is a four-part educational series designed to help adults, parents and caregivers increase their knowledge about anger issues and put anger management and healthy relationship skills into practice.  This lesson includes skills to begin to work on problem solving during conflict.

August 11, 8-9 am
Forgiving and Letting Go of the Past 

How individuals handle their anger and stress affects the people around them. 
RELAX: Alternatives to Anger is a four-part educational series designed to help adults, parents and caregivers increase their knowledge about anger issues and put anger management and healthy relationship skills into practice.  This lesson includes ways to begin to explore forgiveness.


This is a free class.  
This is a live class using Zoom and will not be recorded.  Instructions on Zoom software and setup will be sent in the confirmation email.
