Muskegon 4-H invites 4-H members in West Michigan to learn more about their rabbit projects on Saturday, April 24. Muskegon 4-H volunteer Maddie Knight will be hosting 3 different clinics throughout the day via Zoom. Maddie was a 4-H member in Muskegon County throughout her childhood and has been a volunteer now for 4 years. She is the leader of Hop-A-Doodle Doo's 4-H Club, the owner of Briarwood Bunnies, and was the Muskegon County rabbit superintendent for a couple years.

  • Session 1: Basic Rabbit Care from 10 - 11:30 a.m. EST
    • Topics covered include choosing a breed, nutrition, grooming tools, health issues, and caging
  • Session 2: Showmanship from 12:30 - 2 p.m. EST
    • Step-by-step walk thru, as well as a trivia game and Judge Q & A
  • Session 3: Breed Class Judging from 3 - 4:30 p.m. EST
    • Youth will participate in a "You Be The Judge" activity, as well as learning about show table etiquette, understanding remark cards, and improving the quality of their herd

Youth can sign up any combination of the sessions. Each session will have a cap at 30 participants. 
Open to any registered West Michigan 4-H member.
