Attend the third and final information session for Peru Study Abroad Summer 2019, Community-Based Research and Engagement in the Peruvian Andes.
This 7 week-long program is based in Huamachuco, Peru, a poor Spanish-speaking town of about 60,000 people in the northern Andes whose civilization dates back to 300 A.D. The program challenges students with opportunities to apply their academic and cultural knowledge, and their language and professional research skills, to community development and organizational goals in Huamachuco.
Students live with families during their stay and contribute to community development by engaging with community organizations in providing needed research and services.
Summer 2019 | June 23 - August 10.
