Public Engagement and Participation in Municipal Government: Rethinking the Foundations of Governance

The MSU Extension Center for Local Government Finance and Policy is celebrating its sixth year in existence. To celebrate this accomplishment, the center is launching a new year-end lecture series on topics in the arena of local and municipal government and governance both here at home and abroad. The event will feature Tersa Carlone a research fellow in sociology at the University of Bologna and Eric Scorsone the Director of the MSU Extension Center for Local Government Finance and Policy. The topic is Public Engagement and Participation in Municipal Government: Rethinking the Foundations of Governance. Carlone will speak about her research in Europe and Scorsone will provide a broad overview on some key themes both globally and in the US.

This event will be taking place via zoom and recorded for future viewing.
