Recognize Your Garden Weeds

Weeds in the lawn and garden are an annual part of summer. This event will discuss the most common weeds, conditions that promote them, how to manage them, and if they have any value for pollinators. Presentation will be followed by an outdoor "weed walk" to identify garden weeds. Event will occur rain or shine. Advance registration required.
About the instructor: Dr. Erin Hill is the Michigan State University Weed Diagnostician at the MSU Plant and Pest Diagnostic Lab. Her background is in the diagnosis of abiotic plant stress with an emphasis on herbicide-related injury, herbicide resistance screening, weed control recommendations, and collaborating on plant and seed identification.
Cancellation policy: A full refund will be issued for any registration cancelled on or before June 20. No refund will be issued after this date. If unable to attend after registering, substitutions for another person are permitted.
Extension Master Gardeners: Certified extension Master Gardeners will earn two education hours to be listed under Environmental Stewardship - Invasive Plants
