Sewing and Needle Arts Workshop

Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021
10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

4-H Center on the Lenawee County Fairgrounds

This workshop is open to any youth between the ages of 8 and 19 as of Jan. 1, 2021.  Ages 8-10 will need adult assistance.)

Choose one session to attend and learn the basics of either sewing, quilting, knitting or crocheting.

Cost: $6.00

Participants who cancel after the registration deadline or who do not attend the workshop are still responsible for the registration fee.

4-Patch Quilt Block (5 youth)
The 4-Patch is a basic of quilting that can be used for potholders, pillows, table runners and quilts.  Use a sewing machine to make this project.
  Into to Crocheting (8 youth)
Learn the basics of crocheting.  Use this technique to make a potholder, coaster, scarf or blanket!
     
Sewing with a Pattern (5 youth)
Learn how to read a pattern, calculate how much fabric you will need and cutting.  You will pick a pattern and fabric then sew the pattern on a sewing machine!
  Intro to Knitting (8 youth)
Learn the basics of knitting.  Use this technique to make a potholder, coaster, scarf or blanket!
