STAAARS+ teams: Initial research paper presentations

Join us for 12-minute lightning talks from our four new STAAARS+ Teams! Talks will be followed by 5-minutes of questions from the audience. We look forward to introducing the PRCI community with the new work that these teams are undertaking and also providing them a warm welcome to this vibrant community. A tentative order of talks is as follows:

 

  1. “Market Power in Philippine Agricultural Markets” presented by Gabriel Angelo B. Domingo, Carlos L. Tolentino II, and Hadassah May R. Cordero of the Philippine Competition Commission
  2. “Linking Agricultural Productivity, Market Performance, and Technology Use among Farmers in Uganda” presented by Dablin Mpuuga, Sawuya Nakijoba, and Ambrose Ogwang of the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC)
  3. “Resilience to COVID-19 and Insecurity Shocks: Evidence from Nigeria” presented by Nathaniel Siji Olutegbe, Benjamin Olusegin Oyelami, and Iredele Emmanuel Ogunbayo of PiLAF, University of Ibadan
  4. “Structural Transformation in Rural Ghana: Which Constraints Bind?” presented by Monica P. Lambon-Quayefio, Emmanuel Adu-Danso, and Kwame Adjei-Mantey of the University of Ghana
