In an effort to bring well-known cooking competitions to a local level, area teens have the opportunity to display their culinary skills at this event. MSU Extension, in cooperation with the Soaring Eagle Casino are once again hosting this event. Also made possible with a grant from the Mt. Pleasant Community Foundation, and donations from Farm Bureau, the McCune Family Farm and Dance Again. Prizes are awarded for Overall Champion, Best Presentation, and Most Creative. Opportunities for teams to consult with experienced chefs are offered to teams as an exciting aspect of this competition. As many ingredients as possible are obtained at the local level, including the bulk of the produce, which was donated by Rosebush Farm Market. MSU Extension supports efforts promoting healthy eating and living, food safety and farm to fork events. Come show your support to our local teens as they show their talent in this cooking competition!
