Who should participate:
This 4-H Horse Science Education Program is designed for Wayne County 4-H youth ages 5-19 who are interested in equine studies and careers in the horse industry. Sections are divided by age: Mini – 5-7 years old; Pony – 8-13 years old; Horse – 14-19 years old.

Registered youth will receive information packets which will include a list of resources, a variety of worksheets, and writing project descriptions with instructions. These will need to be completed and returned to Kim Clapp before September 1, 2020.  On July 14, 2020 meet a 4-H Alumni and former MSU Rodeo Queen who is now a horse industry professional. Other July events scheduled will be a Judges Circle, an Interview Skill Building Workshop, and Hippology Sessions to be facilitated via Zoom Virtual Conferencing. A community service component, virtual opportunities to meet new 4-H friends in another Michigan County, and an Equine Specific GooseChase Online Scavenger Hunt will be scheduled for August. Zoom Links and Passwords will be sent only to the registrants, when the times and dates are confirmed.
