MSU Extension, in collaboration with international programs in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management (MANAGE), India will offer a five-day online course for international professionals working in Extension. This online course combines self-paced, self-access materials in a course management system with online live presentations and in-depth discussion on selected topics. Examples and case studies from the MSU Extension, MANAGE India, and international contexts will examine various extension programming models.
The course focuses on the land-grant model of agricultural extension and shared best practices in the planning, design, implementation, management and evaluation of agricultural extension programs serving local farmers and communities in rural and urban areas.
The course is open for extension specialists, innovative farmers, agricultural consultants, policy makers, regulators, scientists, and academics as well as representatives from the private sector and international organizations.
