One in four older adults will report a fall this year. Falls and the fear of falling can be devastating, but they are preventable.
MSU Extension’s programs are designed to help you lower your chance of falling and stay independent, doing the things you like to do. Changes you can make include talking openly with your doctor about falls risk and prevention, exercising and making your home safer.
Who should attend?
MSU Extension's falls prevention programming is designed to benefit older adults who:
- Are concerned about falls
- Have sustained falls in the past
- Restrict activities because of concerns about falling
- Are interested in improving flexibility, balance and strength
- Are age 60 or older
