Red Leg Farms Pasture Walk

Red Leg Farms currently has a fold of 20 head of mostly Scottish Highland cattle and a flock of 25 Katahdin haired sheep. Livestock are on pasture year-round and grass fed using holistic management practices and managed grazing.

Holistic Land Planning

In this course participants will learn the Holistic Land Planning process by working through an example provided by the educator, or by developing their own holistic land plan.

Gladwin County 4-H Livestock Skills Test

When: Monday, June 19th from 4:30pm-6pm Where: Gladwin County District Library Large Meeting Room Registration: Registration is not required. If you would like to participate in the event, please arrive to the library sometime between 4:30 and 5:30. Do you want to test your written knowledge on livestock before the show ring? Join Gladwin County 4-H on Monday, June 19th from 4:30pm-6pm at the Gladwin County District Library in the Large Meeting Room. On this day, you will have the opportunity to be tested on livestock species of your choosing. This event will go over potential questions that could be asked by buyers at the fair or by the judge in the show ring to determine how knowledgeable you are about your livestock! This event mimics the state wide 4-H Skill-a-thon events but is only open to Gladwin County 4-Her’s and Jr Livestock members!
