2022 Consortium Features Update as of 8-8-2022:

The HBVC has decided to move the conference to an on-line only format, with lectures livestreamed via Zoom and available to watch on-demand for a period of two months after the event. With 17 hours of lecture to choose from covering everything from the basics to more advanced topics, there is certain to be something for everyone!

New this year is one hour of research talks highlighting current work being done in the field of honey bee veterinary medicine. As veterinarians are now tasked with the oversight of medically-important antimicrobials in honey bee colonies, this conference will provide knowledge needed to work with this novel species.

In lieu of the in-person conference, we will be offering a small group hands-on workshop on Saturday, August 27th on the Michigan State University campus.  The day will begin at 8am and end at approximately 7pm.  The morning will consist of hive inspections and the afternoon will focus on diagnosing the bacterial brood diseases.  The day will conclude with a light dinner.  Those registering for the in-person workshop will also be enrolled in the virtual conference.  Capacity will be limited to 25 attendees.  Registrants wishing to bring a guest to the dinner may do so at an additional charge.
