2024 4-H Hippology Contest

The 2024 4-H Hippology Contest will be held on March 16, 2024 in Anthony Hall at Michigan State University. Please see the contest rules and registration information below. The registration deadline is February 26, 2024.

Important notes for coaches:

  • New for 2024 - there will NOT be an individual skills phase in the contest. We are aligning the contest to be as close to the national contests as possible. Skills will be demonstrated during the stations phase instead.

  • Technology use during the contest - Youth will be asked to use their own phone/tablet/iPad to scan QR codes that will take them to their tests. If they do not have a device to use, one will be provided for them. Please remind youth to use their technology responsibly and to only be on the tab they are supposed to be on for the contest; cheating will be grounds for immediate disqualification.
