About Us
The Student Horticulture Association (SHA) is a group of MSU students who are in some way or another interested in Horticulture. Whether it's digging in the dirt, designing landscapes, building businesses, growing greenhouse crops, producing fruits and vegetables, climbing trees, appreciating flowers, trees & shrubs, or satisfying plain curiosity. We share this common interest and come together once a week to learn, and to build a network of friends and colleagues. SHA exists (established in 1901) to promote the profession and love of horticulture through good fellowship and by furthering interest in the field with horticultural activities, competitions, social events, and professional networking opportunities. Any student interested in horticulture may become a member upon payment of dues ($10). Meetings will be held Wednesdays at 6 PM EST through Zoom, unless otherwise noted.
Our Purpose
The purpose of this organization shall be to promote the profession of horticulture, good fellowship to further the interests of horticultural activities, including community service, presentation of current developments in horticulture, and development of contacts within all areas of horticulture.
