For over two decades our team has served the Michigan market and beyond by creating inspiring landscapes, floral designs, memorable events and so much more.

We are seeking a Greenhouse Manager to join our fleurdetroit team!

Under minimal supervision the Greenhouse Manager role is essential to multiple lines of our business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under minimal supervision work closely with landscape team regarding incoming deliveries of plant material for landscape clientele, container team & retail.
Responsible for all incoming plant deliveries for containers, landscape and retail. Which include care for incoming plant stock to be handled by the Greenhouse Manager and the Greenhouse Employees.
Unloading all plant material from vendors.
Helps maintain the cleanliness of the outer and inner perimeters the greenhouse with greenhouse employees.
Work in tandem with retail team delivering plant material for display to and replenish.
Garden maintenance activities
Assist with client landscape installation.
Assist container team as needed.
Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

Attention to detail is necessary as it ensures the quality of work that we do.
Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
Ability to walk/stand up to 10 hours per day.
Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required during peak seasons and holidays.
Watering greenhouse and landscape stock regularly.
Eager to ask questions if something is unclear.
Problem solving skills.
Valid Commercial Driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must love animals dogs reside on the premises.
