Greenhouse Grower and Office Lead

Knowledge, Skill & Abilities

• Minimum two-year diploma in horticulture or agriculture, or a level of organized and structured training and relevant experience
• Experience working in greenhouse or agricultural operation including growing crops, crop planning, and crew management
• Evident planning and problem-solving skills including defining problems, conclusions, and solutions
• Ability to work within a team including leadership and assisting a colleague
• Data collection and data driven decision making
• Strong MS Office computer skills and execution of office related tasks and execution
• Applicant must be able to acquire and maintain an MDARD Pesticide Applicator Certificate Core Responsibilities:
• Greenhouse functionality, crop planning, crop production
• Oversight of greenhouse growing, as well as integrated pest management and nutrient management plans
• Data collection and data driven decision making
• Production coordination, area staff supervision, and
• Office lead for the Northern Pines Nursery team Assist with:
• Nursery/Farm needs including by not limited to:
  • Team role
  • Seasonal bareroot nursery needs
  • Greenhouse equipment management and maintenance
  • Office assistance
  • Technology needs within the team
• Harvest / Wreath season needs including but not limited to:
  • Team role
  • Office assistance
  • Technology needs within the team
• Periodic trade shows and travel as needed
• Some weekend and shift work will be required Team Role:
