Position/Location
Grounds curator position opportunity for a private home in the historic Sherwood Forest district of Detroit, near 7 Mile and Woodward Ave. The traditional home is situated on a 0.32-acre parcel of three-year-old plantings. You’re starting with healthy plantings that are newly established.

This position can meet internship requirements; however, we are hoping that you love the serenity and the grounds so much that you want to stay on permanently.

Duties:
Duties include all aspects of maintenance for gardens, trees, plants, and shrubs, including trimming and pruning. Must be able to diagnose pests or diseases and remedy them with organic solutions.

Some seasonal planting of annuals and garden containers. The property boasts mostly perennials.

No lawn maintenance is required. This is a "play in the garden and yard" position!

If your passion includes garden design, there is an opportunity for the design of an English garden on the property.
