Responsibilities

As a Horticulturist I with Hines, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day horticultural operations of The Spheres and other horticultural aspects of our client’s Seattle-based Corporate Headquarters. This includes maintenance of interior plant installations and exterior landscape. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs general horticulture maintenance within The Spheres and in the supporting greenhouse facilities, including watering, planting, weeding, irrigation, pest control, and pruning, under direction of Amazon Staff
  • Assists Amazon staff with horticulture projects such as terrariums, living walls and others
  • Assist with the cultivation and transfer of plant material to and from The Spheres and other locations
  • Collaborates with Amazon staff on interior and exterior horticulture projects
  • Assists with plant procurement and acquisitions

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Certification or Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Two or more years experience in agriculture, horticulture or greenhouse plant
  • Knowledge of tropical plants required
  • Greenhouse experience required
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Interact with employees, visitors and contractors with poise and diplomacy
