Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms, USA (WWOOF-USA) invites students to participate in an educational and cultural exchange focused on organic agriculture in the USA!

WWOOF is designed to be flexible, and could be used for an internship, spring break or summer travel opportunity for any students interested in sustainable agriculture, cultural studies, culinary arts, veterinary programs, health and nutrition, environmental sciences,and so much more. The program can be tailored by students to meet their interests. Opportunities are available year-round during spring/fall semesters and over the summer.

The way WWOOF works:
'WWOOFers' spend about half of each day helping on a host farm
Learn about the organic agriculture movement and sustainable lifestyles
Receive free room and board during their visit – with no money exchanged between host farmers and WWOOFers
No previous experience required - this is a learning opportunity
Length of stay is flexible from a week to a season

WWOOF farms offer a variety of educational opportunities, including learning about organic agriculture techniques, permaculture, ecological farming, sustainable construction and living techniques, ranching, viticulture, health science, culinary studies, community and rural studies, and much more. With farms in all 50 states, including Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico, there is something for everyone.

To learn more, become a member and gain full access to WWOOF-USA’s online directory of organic farms, plus all of the other features of the website. These include member forums (a great place to search for current opportunities and connect with other WWOOFers), ratings and reviews for the farms, a map of the farms, and direct messaging to hosts. Memberships cost $40 and are valid for one year from the time of registration.
