Hiring Organization: Plimoth Patuxet Museums
Employment type: Internship
Job Location: Plymouth, MA
Application Due Date: March 31, 2023

Happy New Year from Plimoth Patuxet Museums!

As winter settles in around Cape Cod Bay, we`re looking ahead to warmer days and the arrival of our summer interns and fellows next June. Plimoth Patuxet Museums has a dynamic slate of internship opportunities this year, and we want to invite your students to apply for the Museum's 9-week residential program, June 1-August 4, 2023.

Will one of your students be part of our 2023 cohort? We are looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented young people with an interest in our nation's early histories and who want to share in the day-to-day work of a living history museum. Plimoth Patuxet's interns enjoy an intensive experience as diverse as the Museum itself centered on immersive, hands-on fieldwork. Interns also participate in collaborative group projects, enjoy field trips, and engage in unique professional development opportunities.

This summer, Plimoth Patuxet will be offering paid and unpaid internships and fellowships in:

  • Historical Horticulture
  • Museum Education
  • Historical Clothing & Textiles Production
  • Archaeology Collections
  • Collections Care
  • Native American & Indigenous Studies - Traditional Engineering Fellowship (option to start in April 2023)

A full description of each internship including details about schedules and pay is available at www.plimoth.org/internships. Housing is available for all interns and fellows. Academic credit is also available. For more information about the Internship Program at Plimoth Patuxet, visit our FAQs page.  To apply, students should submit an online application through our  website, www.plimoth.org/internships

Deadline for applications is March 31, 2023

Please don`t hesitate to reach out with any questions about the internship program or a particular opportunity.

Best wishes for good health and peace,

Hilary Goodnow
