Van Atta’s Greenhouse is looking for landscape employees to help grow our expanding landscape department. This position is seasonal beginning around April until November. Actual start and end dates may vary depending on weather and workload. Hours range from 30-40 hours per week with overtime available.
Job Description: Performs seasonal landscape duties to help improve the landscape of our clients including:
- Loading and unloading of plant materials
- Removal and installation of soil and mulch
- New bed installation
- Annual, perennial, tree, and shrub plantings - We do not mow lawns or perform any hardscape installation.
- Works well with customers and can answer questions they may have about the plant material they have purchased
- Cleaning of vehicles and tools after each week
Requirements: The ideal applicant has some landscape or horticulture background and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Applicants can lift 50 pounds safely. Comfortability with maneuvering a truck and trailer or larger vehicles in a plus. Employees must be detailed oriented, have a strong work ethic, possess excellent communication skills, and be willing to work some evenings and some weekends throughout the landscape season. 40 hours/week plus opportunities for overtime
