Arcadia Gardens, LLC, located in Michigan's Great Southwest!, is looking for a landscape designer or landscape architect to fill an entry level position.  This could also be an internship, with the potential to become a full time position upon their graduation:

Role and Responsibilities

Support lead designer with site analysis and creation of base plans. Collaborate on ideas and concepts for final plans. Assist with client proposals and presentations.  Attend client meetings and develop sales skills. Create and establish a client base.   Examples include:

  • Research & material sourcing

  • Site measurements & base mapping

  • Develop initial concept sketches

  • Material takeoff for proposals and ordering

  • Simple project design and management

  • Create presentation materials with AutoCAD or Sketch Up  

Qualifications and Education Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture/Design or related major
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Gmail, QuickBooks and multiple file formats. 

Bilingual in Spanish helpful, but not required

Preferred Skills

High level of organization & attention to detail.
Excellent verbal communication skills.

Independent problem solving skills and able to recognize highest priority tasks. 

Additional Notes

This is a relaxed, casual office environment (dogs are present) and you may be asked to lend a hand outside of your job description. You will be working closely to support the lead designer, and as such, will be expected to display a courteous, professional demeanor at all times. You will work directly with Sales and the Company Manager to secure and manage multiple projects. There is considerable room for growth and personal development with this position. Hours can be flexible, and season dependent.
